Farm Hand
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Farm Hands to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the health and welfare of our livestock and maintaining the quality of our farm operations. Ideal candidates are those who share our passion for sustainable farming and are committed to excellence in all aspects of their work.
Responsibilities:
- Daily feeding and care of livestock, including Jersey cows, goats, and mulefoot pigs.
- Assisting with milking operations, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency.
- Monitoring animal health and reporting any issues to management.
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in all farm areas.
- Assisting with crop and feed management.
- Operating and maintaining farm equipment and machinery.
- Supporting the farm’s sustainability practices and initiatives.
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience in farming or animal care preferred.
- Strong work ethic and dedication to animal welfare.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Physical ability to perform farm tasks in all weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of machinery and equipment maintenance.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to sustainable and ethical farming practices.
